How can libraries use social networking? Ha How can't libraries use social networking?
Social network is reality, people are on facebook and twitter countless times during the day so libraries can and should utilise this. Libraries can have a facebook page that fans can like, they can upload new programs at the library, book signings, workshops etc. By using the power of social networking they can get their message out.
Well week 12 has concluded, I have enjoyed learning 2.0, there were a lot of things I was unfamilar with and feel more confident having done this.

week 11 -online applications and tools
I found google docs easy to use and straight forward, it is unbelievable the amount of free online software that is available to use.
For use in the library I can see this as being useful when two employees are collaborating on something, both people have access to the document and can edit it separately and stay up to date with changes as they occur.
People also have the option to work at home without the need to upload onto a USB.

week 10 -mash ups
Ohh I like this one, so many fun things to mashup. You can create
puzzles with your photos. Make a collage out of pics from the last
month, year etc. Map maker, pop art poster, what fun!
Mash ups could be used in the library through promotional ventures and also through the use of google maps to show then and now, the ever changing world.
My fun jigsaw.
